Hot, Very Hot

The festival was fun. Bagpipes, food, dancing, and more bagpipes. We had some very good discussions about clans and the Armstrongs. We associated with fellow boarder clans. The only and biggest downfall of the festival was the heat. No shade, and the tents felt humid inside. They had the handcarts out for people to sit under for shade. Non-the-less it was fun. A big thanks to those who came and helped. We received a donation of a beautiful painting of Johnny Armstrong of Gilnockie from a dear friend and a fellow Armstrong Clanswoman, Linda. Thank you, it is in a safe place. I didn't take too many pictures since the batteries were going dead but here is a video of the bagpipes playing Amazing Grace one of my favorites. Enjoy

This is it for the year. Unless the Utah Scottish Association adds another gathering for the clans. Please visit often and check for updates. The next event is the Robert Burns Dinner in January or February. I look forward to seeing everyone in the very near future.
